Come join us in Berlin!

Leaders from across Central Western Europe will gather in Berlin for our Area Leaders Gathering (ALG) — a time to seek God together, strengthen connection, and align with His heart for our nations.

In a season of change across Europe, we come as pioneers and senders, asking the Lord how we are to go, lead, and respond to what He’s doing in our nations. This gathering will be a space of worship, prayer, and collaboration — to be refreshed, re-envisioned, and ready for what’s ahead.

If you lead in any capacity within YWAM — a base, school, ministry, circle, or nation — this time is for you.

Why we Gather?

  • To worship, pray, and hear from God together as leaders.

  • To receive fresh input on what God is saying to YWAM internationally, in our area, and locally.

  • To connect, build relationships, and encourage one another in leadership and mission.

Who Should Attend?

This is a leadership gathering for YWAMers serving in Central Western Europe — including those in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland (German-speaking), Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, and Malta.

All forms of leadership are welcome: national, base, team, school, ministry, senior, emerging leaders, and elders — as well as leaders serving across European nations.

GERMANY

You’re about to join over 82 million people in a country celebrated as the land of poets and thinkers, and birthplace of world-changing inventions, from the printing press to modern cars. Germany’s history, culture, and innovation run deep, and you’ll soon discover both its charm and its quirks.

The following section will give you a practical glimpse into everyday life here, what to expect, what might surprise you, and how things may differ from what you’re used to, so you can feel at home faster.

  • The capital that is unlike any other place in Germany. Berlin is the city that draws the artists, the misfits, the idealists. One of the leading cities for start-up companies in Europe. A political epicenter. Home to major universities and Europe’s largest university hospital. Dancing to the beat of techno. A cultural melting pot. With a wide variety of museums and parks. The city of spies. Berlin has a lot to offer. Everywhere you go, you will see evidence of its rich history. This city is marked by its past and the wounds of generations. Yet it has also seen miracles and redemption in breathtaking ways. Berlin is a city that has always had influence. Both for good and for evil. It is a city that sets things in motion and shakes up the status quo. In business, in the arts, in politics, in science, in cultures. And it is a catalyst for the Kingdom of God to go forth! What if people come here to find themselves and find God instead? Artists leaning to commune with the Creator. World changers leading with compassion and radical love. Foreigners finding a home in the family of God. Atheists being transformed

  • Germany has mild temperatures. You will arrive in the fall where the weather can be anywhere between sunny and stormy. Temperatures average between 10°C and 19°C (50°F-67°F). Winters are cold with a mix of rain, sometimes snow, and average temperatures around 0°C - 4°C (32-39°F). Summers are mild and pleasant, with average high temperatures of 24°C (75°F) and lows of 12°C (53°F).

It does rain quite a bit in the fall months, so you may want to bring suitable clothing with you. There is a German saying that says, 'There is no bad weather, only bad clothing'.

In general the weather is prone to changing quite a bit and quickly.

  • Nearly every town or city has bike lanes. Don't walk in them or you risk getting run over or yelled at. Germans take their biking seriously and it’s a common mode of transport.

See you soon!!
